Since June 2003 the club has been involved in providing food, clothing and education to over 300 children in the Maasai Mara part of Kenya. Every year up to 14 volunteers spend two weeks at the school. They have built classrooms, a library, a fresh water well, and teacher dorms. They also built a garden and taught students how to maintain it so they can grow their own food. With only a small amount of administrative funding from the Maywood Rotary Club, over $263,000 has been provided to achieve all these accomplishments. These funds have been raised by donations from friends of the trip volunteers and other outside sources. To learn more about this project go to:
